In August 2025, CODE KC: Blue Collar brought the heat and the hustle to Missie B’s. Leather folx showed up in hi-vis, overalls, and hard hats for a night of sweaty fun, sexy tradesperson vibes, and community connection. Highlights included the 50/50 Grease Pit raffle, the Sexiest Tradie Contest, and a $15 drink bust that kept the party going strong.
In June, the KC Pioneers kicked off CODE KC with RUST—a gritty, gear-heavy night inspired by the hanky code. Leather folx packed Missie B’s for bondage demos, cowboy heat, and a Saddle to Spur raffle benefiting MGRA. Drink busts flowed, flags flew, and the community showed up strong.
Level up your leather at the KC Pioneers’ 48th annual run—Trails End 48: Press Start to Play. Hosted at the American Inn in North Kansas City, this year’s run fused vintage video game nostalgia with classic leather tradition. Think joystick jousts, pixel-perfect gear, and community quests that brought old-school flair to new-school pride. Attendees unlocked a weekend of workshops, socials, and themed parties, from “Dungeon & Dragons” protocol sessions to a high-score leather show. Themed rooms, retro arcade challenges, and gear swaps turned the venue into a queer-coded console of connection, kink, and camaraderie. Whether you came to compete, cruise, or just collect XP in community, Trails End 48 proved once again: the Pioneers know how to play with purpose.
Fifty years of leather, legacy, and love—Trails End 50: Gold Rush marked the KC Pioneers’ Golden Anniversary with a weekend of celebration at the American Inn in North Kansas City. Members, alumni, and guests gathered to honor half a century of queer resilience, community service, and unapologetic pride. Themed around vintage gold rush aesthetics, the event featured gilded gear, historic tributes, and a timeline feature tracing the club’s journey from its 1974 founding to its role today as Kansas City’s oldest LGBTQIA charity. Drag shows, socials, and a formal banquet paid homage to the past while forging new connections for the future. From leather shows to legacy spotlights, Trails End 50 was more than a party—it was a milestone. And like any good rush, it left us richer in community, memory, and purpose.
In the heat of August, the KC Pioneers turned up the charm and the hoses for our annual Car Wash Fundraiser, held in the back parking lot of Missie B’s. Leather-clad volunteers scrubbed, sprayed, and served up suds with a smile—all to raise funds for local LGBTQIA+ charities. With music pumping, gear gleaming, and plenty of playful banter, the event blended community care with cheeky fun. Guests rolled through for a wash, stayed for the vibes, and left knowing they’d supported a cause that shines just as bright as their freshly cleaned rides.
